Playground Fundraiser
Our beloved playground was first established in 1992. New play structures were added in 1997 and 2011, with minimal improvements in the meantime. Since the initial installation, many children and families have touched the wooden boards and slides creating formative memories and experiences.
Phase 1 was completed in the summer of 2023 with a renovation to include two wooden covered structures and a set of monkey bars in addition to clearing a space for future improvements. WSYC also hosted an Eagle Scout project then to include a new mud kitchen, slope slide, tree cookie patio, and picnic tables.

Phase 2 will be started during the summer of 2025, so now is the time for even more families to enjoy the playground! We would greatly appreciate it if you would consider donating to Westminster School for Young Children to enhance our playground and create opportunities for future Westminster children. None of this will be possible without the generous support of the WSYC community! Please forward the link on to your family, friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. In addition to phase one of this playground renovation, WSYC will also be hosting an Eagle Scout project this summer to improve the playground area, which includes a new mud kitchen, slope slide, tree cookie patio, and picnic tables.

​One More Day is an opportunity for the students to be with their friends to play mainly outside (weather permitting) while being supervised by a team of WSYC Advisory Board Members and approved Substitutes from 9:00am-12:00pm for $50. The money raised go towards our scholarship fund with tuition assistance for students to attend WSYC in future years. Our Carol Van Hise Scholarship Fund was established in 1994 with the recognition of her 25th anniversary as Director of Westminster School for Young Children. We thank her for over 50 years of love, nurture, and guidance to the students, and many thanks to the families who have made donations to our Scholarship Fund over the years through participation in our Spirit Events.

If you are interested in registering your child, please fill out the One More Day Registration Form and pay the non-refundable $50 per day online (with a convenience fee already added), by cash or check made out to WSYC. Age groups may be determined based upon the number of children in attendance. Please bring a labeled water bottle and extra change of clothes (plus diapers and wipes if needed).​
Join us on Tuesday, October 14th from 6:00-8:00pm in the WPC Fellowship Hall for a night of Mahjong and other games. Whether you are a Mahjong Master or have never seen a tile, you are welcome to come! We will have a quick lesson as well as other games to play! We ask that you bring a dish to share and RSVP beforehand.
Our WSYC Spirit Week will begin on Monday, October 27th with a special Coffee Break after morning drop off by the gazebo and end with our Fall Festival on Friday, October 31st at 11:00am! All are welcome to attend!

Westminster School for Young Children relies on fundraising and donations to maintain classrooms, preserve our beloved playground, and enhance teacher materials and manipulatives. This year, all of the money raised will go towards our Playground Fund. Would your family or business be interested in donating to our Fall Fundraiser?
The Turtles, Otters, Frogs, Ducks, & Llamas will have a Costume Parade at 10:45am on Friday, October 31st. Parents can line up around the sidewalk circle on the courtyard between the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. The children will make two laps around the courtyard. The teachers will dismiss the children to the families immediately following the parade to attend the Fall Festival with your child!
The Ladybugs & Owls will pick up for an early dismissal at 11:00am to attend the Fall Festival with your child.
The Bumblebees, Koalas, & Pandas are welcome to celebrate with us during our Fall Festival! We will provide fall themed games to enjoy time with classmates and a photo booth with your families! Please help by bringing items for our Bake Sale!
