Playground Fundraiser
Our beloved playground was first established in 1992. New play structures were added in 1997 and 2011, with minimal improvements in the meantime. Since the initial installation, many children and families have touched the wooden boards and slides creating formative memories and experiences.
Now is the time to create a new space on the playground for even more children to enjoy! We would greatly appreciate it if you would consider donating to Westminster School for Young Children to enhance our playground and create opportunities for future Westminster children. None of this will be possible without the generous support of the WSYC community! Please forward the link on to your family, friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. In addition to phase one of this playground renovation, WSYC will also be hosting an Eagle Scout project this summer to improve the playground area, which includes a new mud kitchen, slope slide, tree cookie patio, and picnic tables.

Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 - Pajama Day
Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 - Crazy Day
Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 - Spirit Day
One More Day is an opportunity for the students to be with their friends to play mainly outside (weather permitting) while being supervised by a rotating team of WSYC Advisory Board members from 9am-12pm for $50. The money raised goes towards our scholarship fund with tuition assistance for students to attend WSYC in future years. Our Carol Van Hise Scholarship Fund was established in 1994 with the recognition of her 25th anniversary as Director of Westminster School for Young Children. We thank her for over 50 years of love, nurture, and guidance to the students, and many thanks to the families who have made donations to our Scholarship Fund over the years through participation in our Spirit Events.
If you are interested in registering your child, please fill out the One More Day Registration Form and pay the non-refundable $50 online (with a convenience fee already added), or by cash or check made out to WSYC. Age groups may be determined based upon the number of children in attendance. Please bring a labeled water bottle and extra change of clothes (plus diapers and wipes if needed). Both drop-off and pick up will be held outside on the playground (or inside in case of inclement weather). Snack will be provided by WSYC.
Pot of Gold
Do you have jars of spare change or coins laying around your house that you do not know what to do with? Bring them to WSYC for our 2nd annual event on Monday, March 18th through Wednesday, March 20th for the children to throw into a POT OF GOLD to raise money to benefit the Carol Van Hise Scholarship Fund.
Spring Fling Fundraiser
Our Spring Fling fundraiser this year will be held on Saturday, April 27th from 3:30-5:30pm. The proceeds will go directly towards the playground fund where Phase 1 of this project was completed last summer. Please consider supporting our fundraising efforts through sponsorship, donating to raffle baskets, and/or attendance. Please spread the word and help us collect donations. WSYC families, friends, and community businesses are all welcome to participate as sponsors. Spring Fling tickets will go on sale in early April. The ticket price includes all offered activities and lots of fun! Thank you in advance for your generosity and consideration.
